National Honor Society membership is based on scholarship, service, leadership, and character. Candidates for this society may be sophomores, juniors, or seniors. Sophomore candidates must have earned a 3.5 grade point average for eligibility the fourth quarter of their sophomore year. Junior and senior candidates must have earned a cumulative grade point average of 3.3 on a 4.0 scale and are eligible for membership each semester. Students are chosen by the faculty based on all four areas of scholarship, service, leadership and character.

Each year National Honor Society attends a leadership conference in Ames. This conference allows our students to interact with other student leaders. The Excellent motivational speakers also help us to be better leaders.
